Your pre-travel checklist
- Before booking the shuttle, tell us about the pushchair, every child and any child-seat requirement.
- Keep essentials in your cabin bag so you can manage without access to the pushchair.
Practise folding the pushchair and photograph it and its label. At check-in, ask where it will be returned after landing; do not assume every airport uses the same place. Save the return-shuttle contact offline and call once you have your bags and are ready for collection.
Two journeys, two confirmations
Arrange the car-park-to-terminal transfer separately from the flight. Tell the parking service about every passenger, including children, the pushchair and any child-seat requirement in advance. Ask the airline about your particular pushchair. Shuttle arrangements do not establish airline rules, or vice versa.
Practise folding at home
Fold the pushchair before travelling and measure its folded size if the airline asks. Remove loose items from its basket and prepare protection and a contact label. Photograph it before handover. Ideally both adults should know how to fold it: one may be looking after a child and documents at the airport.
From check-in to boarding
Ask how far you may use your own pushchair, where to hand it over and where it will be returned after landing. Note the answer for this journey; another airport may work differently. Ask about the connecting sector too. Without confirmation, do not rely on receiving the pushchair immediately at the aircraft door.
A bag for time without the pushchair
Keep changing supplies, spare clothes and waiting-time essentials in a small accessible bag rather than the pushchair basket or checked suitcase. Prague Airport allows food and drinks needed by a child for the journey; have them ready for security and follow staff instructions. A clear packing list is more useful than several bags nobody can navigate.
An unhurried arrival
Collect your bags and establish the pushchair return point first. Contact the shuttle when you are ready for collection. Keep the parking number offline too and check which location your booking uses. Tell the service in advance about changes in passenger numbers or bulky luggage, rather than starting those arrangements after landing.
Parents’ frequent questions
Does a child count as a shuttle passenger?
Yes. Report all adults and children and arrange any child seat or infant seat beforehand. Discuss luggage volume and the pushchair at the same time.
Will my pushchair be returned at the aircraft?
Confirm handover and return with the airline for your specific flight and airport. Departure, connection and return arrangements may differ.
When should I call the shuttle with a pushchair?
Once you have all bags and the pushchair and can reach the agreed pickup point. Finish collecting them before arranging pickup.
